Adderall… Won’t Be Covered Soon Questions…?

So I got a lovely little letter in the mail today saying that Medica won’t cover Adderall for people over 23. I’m 24 so I’m out of luck apparently. There are alternatives but I’m not sure what is the best option. They won’t cover Concerta or Adderall. I’ve scheduled an appointment with my doctor but I’m hoping for personal experiences with it. (a little background) I’m 24, fulltime student at a university, been on Adderall XR 20mg for a year and 2 months. Was on Ritalin and Dexedrine back in elementary school/middleschool/high school and didn’t like those. I’ve gotten used to the Adderall and my grades have improved along with concentration. Smart kid, just didn’t apply myself lol C grades have gone to A grades. Worried a switch might affect me too much. Anybody have a good experience going from Adderall to Dexedrine? I can also opt for “Amphetamine Salt Combinations” which essentially means generic adderall. Confused and hope my Doc can help me out but looking for personal experience.
