After you complete a degree in a subject of your choice (eg. masters, bachelors, doctors) you can then apply to a teacher’s college (eg. the Ontario Teachers College), there are usually two pathways in that college, five years or one, next you have to pose as a student teacher twice each job for six months. Lastly, you can apply to a position in teaching, and usually have the option of selecting the grade level at which you educate students, you will of course be interviewed; if found to be a suitable teacher for the position in question you may get the job. In Canada teachers at high schools make approximately $84000 dollars per year about $7000 per month, and currently there is a 4% gradual increase of pay planned for them. I’m trying for a grade eight science teacher position some time in the near future, Good Luck!
