Elementary School Principal Calls Mother About Son There – Can She Do That? Father Has Temporary Custody?

Father has a letter signed by mother giving temporary custody. Court case set for April 30 of this year because father was away on military assignment. Mother has not contacted child in three years, has not provided financial support and has be in jail for drugs. Abandment law covers this. Father separates from military, comes home, enrolls child here, school calls mother to let her know. States they can do that. Father goes to another school and has child live with relatives in that school area. Principal calls and states he will allow child to go to school there if father gives permission for him to call mother, even though he has copies of all the police blotter reports of mother doing time in jail for drugs etc. Has copy of letter signed and foresically check by Washoe Crime lab, copy of abandment order, copy of support paperwork signed by judge, stating no child support will be paid by father since he has physical custody. Says too bad – wants to phone mother.
