John Lewis is currently running a total of four different partnership schemes for graduates, which are the Retail Management Scheme for Graduates, the Buying Scheme for Graduates, the Merchandising Scheme for Graduates and the Summer Placement scheme, which is an internship scheme. The Retail Management scheme for John Lewis requires the possession of a BA, BSc or higher degree at a 2:2 achieved by September 2010 in order to qualify. Applicants should also have GCSE English and Maths at a grade level C or above.

Internship Opportunities
The John Lewis Summer Placement scheme will put you in one of the John Lewis department stores for a period of six weeks, allowing you to focus on general business skills and retail management skills as well. Successful candidates here will be able to combine the practicality behind working on the shop floor together with the theory that lies behind running a retail company that is innovative and successful. Applications are accepted for John Lewis internship opportunities from any penultimate year student that is studying any discipline of degree. John Lewis is looking for people that are truly passionate about retail as well as customer service.
