Opportunities
Most of our opportunities are for graduates (with at least a 2.2) in civil engineering, building/construction management, quantity surveying/commercial management, electrical and mechanical engineering, and business/management.
Graduates get involved with a variety of aspects including design, project/contract management, asset management, commercial management, winning work through proposals and tenders, procurement of suppliers and sub-contractors, and managing facilities and services for clients.
As a graduate and future senior manager at Balfour Beatty you could play an essential part in the development of high speed rail links; delivery of the Government’s affordable housing programme; upgrading of electricity, gas and water systems; the construction, management and maintenance of motorways and highways; or the construction and operation of new schools and hospitals – projects that directly improve the lives of people and their communities.
Training and development
Our graduate development schemes give you the ideal foundation for your career; combining courses, seminars and varied, practical on-the-job experience with the opportunity to achieve a professional qualification with one of the major engineering institutions (ICE, IMechE, IET, CIBSE), the CIOB, RICS or ICES and are structured in line with the institutions’ guidelines.
