How Can I Get Health Insurance If I Don’t Have A Job?

I’m not filing for unemployment, but I have recently graduated college, am off my parents insurance, and am struggling to find a job with these benefits. I have a few very minor medical issues, but I really need insurance. I’ve heard you can buy it independently through some companies, but I have no idea how to go about it. Can anyone explain how this works and where I can go to get insurance? Thank you!
