My best friend was out of college and working in the investment field for about five years before she finally passed the first CFA test. But maybe she's not as bright as you... good luck, but be sure to study (she studied for months on each attempt)! To receive the CFA Charter, you need to pass three exams (that part you seem to know) and have four years of relevant work experience. Just to demonstrate your proficiency with basics, though, you can take Level One while still in college. The CFA Institute believes that on average, a candidate needs 200 hours of independent study to be adequately prepared for the exam. Good luck! You can’t.
