Working for your parents might be the ideal situation but if it means fighting with them and ruining your relationship with them it probably isn't worth it. Try to find another job in the area. You don't need to work for your parents to do well in grad school.

I think that you should stick it out in school until you graduate. You can not beat getting good pay and the flexibility of going to school too.
It sounds like maybe you should sit your parents down and talk to them about how you feel. Make sure to use I statements. Meaning instead of saying---- You make me feel this way--------use this--------I feel this way when you do this.
It works. This way they do not feel like you are attacking them. You are talking to them. and I am sure that they will listen. After all they are your parents and they want the best for you. Good luck.

What I have found is this........it's hard working for family, because family takes advantage, because they can. I recently hired my family not once but twice. I get more production out of someone outside the house other than my own. You don't feel right in telling them the truth about that they are taking advantage of you because of the personal relationship you have with them. So......you got it and you figured it out already. Get that resume out there - and take the big leap forward on independence. Remember though the job situating is not very good. Give them the same respect as any other employer and that is that two weeks or month notice depending on the job title itself. And move forward............and learn from this experience. you and only you know what is best for you. Go get them tiger!

study as hard as you can, get better grades, go to school full time and waive your folks goodbye! ;) then they can find another sucker who likes to be treated like a slave. it is true you should be grateful to them, but nobody deserves to be bullied just cos someone is doing them a favour. it's not like they pay you for doing nothing.

depends on what grad program, what your financial situation is .. do you also live with your parents (if so, move out), etc.
if you can afford to make a move, do it and consider additional expense a well worth it "freedom tax"

Yes, the answer does seem pretty obvious. Only you can decide though - or your parents, if they decide that YOU are the one who is crazy, and treats THEM like crap
