I’m interested to work in New Zealand after I graduated there by the end of the year.I will be in New zealand by july 2007.

Two of my college buddies have emigrated to NZ and soon will both be naturalized. They both have jobs (in one case, “finally”) but here’s the scoop:
NZ immigration & employment policies favor locals in job fields where there isn’t a high degree of specialization, or where NZ tends to have a good resource pool from which to draw.
There are several categories on the “long term shortage list” where NZ is actively soliciting the importation of talented workers from overseas. Check out the pdf document at:http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/s…
That being said, don’t expect it to be too easy. They will hire locally if the option exists, and you may just be SOL.
BUT… NZ is worth it if you can get in! Salaries tend to be low compared to US and elsewhere, but you can’t beat the lifestyle. Good luck!

Maybe it’s because that their salary aren’t high enough for the people there, so they encourage people to work there.
