Opinions On 2012 Please. This Is What I Found

Ok so everyone has heard about the end of the world prophecy for the year 2012. This prophecy has come from the end of the mayan calendar and has turned into multiple predictions for the next 4 years. I have done extensive research on this topic and this is what I have found…
First of all, the reason the Mayan calendar ends on that date is because it it the end of a cycle, not a world. The mayan calendar was first created in the year 3113 BC. It was made to calculate long amounts of time, hence the name “Long Count” calendar. Anyways the length of time that this calendar covers is about 5,125 years.
If anyone here is familiar with processions then you know that a procession is the wobbling of earth on its axis from one sign of the zodiac into another. Right now we are in the sign of Pisces going into Aquarius. Anyways, the length of time of one procession is 1,025 years i believe (*its been a while since i studied it, but if thats not the number, its close.*) Well, the mayans were very interested in plotting and understanding these processions; therefore they made the long count calendar. It was a way to group the processions into smaller cycles. These cycles were plotted and predicted to take around 26,000 years to complete one grand cycle. The end of the mayan calendar is leading us to the end of eaths 26,000 year wobble. For 26k years earth has been spinning on an axis and on december 21st 2012 it will start back at point 0 and redo the cycle.
As for the other predictions, they are not true. I am sure that most of you have heard that so much will happen in 2012, but none of the predictions mention a flood. the mayans were very precise in their predictions. They did not say that the world will end on december 21st 2012, but they did say that a time of enlightenment will occur. As for their end of the world prediction; they believed that the world would end by flood, and NO not on 2012. The way we know this is that the mayans had predictions dating to 4477 AD and past!
Now, I spoke about other predictions. Of of these is the prediction of a geomagnetic shift. This is a shift that causes the Earth’s land masses to change places. For example, they predict that the North pole would go all the way to the south pole! This is bologna. People have studied this before and found out that the crust of the earth does in fact move. While it moves, it does so very very very slowly! At one point, Alaska was where the north pole was, but that was way before anyone was alive. The point is that these things take time and are not instant.
Another prediction is that the rapture will happen. Or the great tibulations will occur. Well, if you are a good christian then I believe the Bible says that not even Jesus himself knows when that time is. By trying to guess the end of the world, we are going against what God said in the bible. By saying that the rapture will happen then we are ignoring what the Bible says, and that is not christian. Also, if you believe that the tribulation will happen on that date, then you obviously don’t know that is A B = C then A C = B. By stating that the tribulaiton will happen on a certain date, we also must understand that it will last for 3.5 years, which then will usher in the great tribulation for another 3.5 years, and then the rapture will come. See, you would still be speculating that you know the time of the rapture. Whether you are pre-trib or post-trib, you know this rule applies.
One more theory is that world war 3 will happen on that date. While this is far fetched, it may be true. Sadly enough, that has become our reality. By preching hate and intolerance, we have become a species of warefare. Our differences are trivial at best, yet we persecute and ignore. The only way to stop this war is to take action against it and try to change your views on life. I challenge everyone who reads this to do atleast 1 good thing for someone each day. It can be small or big, but you will feel amazing after you do that. changing the world starts with “one act of random kindness.”
Also, the bible code is the last thing I would like to touch. While many people may believe its teachings, there is no real proof the bible code is genuine. They did a study with Moby Dick and were able to find the exact same predictions within the text as they found withing the bible code as well as a number of other assasinations. It just serves as proof that when you have enough letters, you can form any words.
I have seen sites dedicated to people talking about the bible code predicting doomsday for 2012. these codes come directly form the book of revelation. They included words such as “rock” and “comet” and “mountain” and “sea.” If anyone is familiar with the book of revelation then you would see that all these words, maybe not comet though, can be found just by reading the text. Well back to the point, when you have enough letters, you can form any words.
This 2012 stuff has become a charlatans dream. By scaring everyone, they are able to sell books and ideas. I believe that people have taken the mayan 2012 thing and turned it into their own end time predictions. I ask you, if we really believe that the mayans predicted the end of the world “which they didn’t,” shouldn’t we take their form of the world ending too (IE. Flood!!).
