After graduating with a masters in couseling or social work and receiving the PCC liscensure, is it hard to find a job? Where do most acquire their first job?

Well first off you would only get PCC license with a MA in counseling. If you do an MSW you will go for an LCSW (which is a far better license than a PCC. In either case you can not get your license until you have 2 years of supervision. You can register to start accruing hours. An MSW and then LCSW will open far more doors and give you more opportunity and higher pay in most cases. As for where people work – I would say Child Welfare is one of the largest, hospitals would be up there, mental health and substance abuse, increasingly probation and parole, gerontological sites are increasingly common.
