What Job Is Best For A High School Graduate?

If you’re going into a university or community college program after you graduate from high school (hopefully you are!) then the best job is anything related to the field you plan to study. Even if it’s at the ground level, you will make contacts and people will respect you for educating yourself and working you way up the food chain.
That’s also the same advice I’d give you if you weren’t going to college. Even if you have to take on some crappy jobs to put food on the table, you should aim for any job in a field you see yourself working for years to come. Also, take technical or vocational classes to educate yourself about that field. Or find someone who will take you on as an intern or apprentice.
Just some extra words of advice: in these tough economic times, you might want to consider looking for jobs in fields that can not be out sources overseas or taken over by a robot/computer, or is vulnerable to the topsyturvy economy (like bank tellers… that used to be a good job for HS grads). Think medical field.

If you want a quick job instead of going to college, you might want to look at some cheap trade school which will train you for a career in as little as a few months. I am more familiar with the medical program so I will name a few of them. They are Phlebotomy, CNA, EMT, LPN, medical coding and Billing. With these quick training, you can earn around 30K+ a year.
Right now, as you already know the economy is not so good. Finding a job is hard even for people with a master’s degree. So for you it will even be tougher. You can look into UPS, USPS and some fast food restaurant. But you might want to seriously think about getting some sort of training in a career that is in demand. Do your research to see what kind of jobs are out there in your neighborhood and what the requirements are. The more you see a need for a job that means it is demand in your town. Then get trained so you can get that job if you like it.
    Good Luck to you.

I think you can make a lot of $ working in real estate with only a high school degree. Probably a lot more than I’ll make with my masters…

The best job going is 4 years of college. It’s the ONLY way to earn a decent salary throughout your life.
